Materials for Music

I realized this morning that I never put my materials list up for Music class!!  I will need these items by 10/4.  We will have the field trip to the Planetarium that day & then, those who can & want to, will go back to the library to work on scenery & props.  Please let me know if you have any of these items.

1.  large pieces of cardboard
2.  paint - a variety of colors, but I know we'll need A LOT of orange.
3.  paint brushes - regular sizes, but some large (3")
4.  large blue sheet (King size if possible)
5.  large tan sheet or covering.  This will be for the floor in one scene
6.  large chair to use as a throne.  Possibly will be added to with cardboard
7.  a boat.  Planning to make out of cardboard unless anyone has another idea!  It only needs to fit 2 children

Let me know if you have questions!
Thanks,
Shauna

  1. We're offering the following to the list for consideration:

The Supreme School (Because the Library is on Justice Samuel Alito, Jr. Way)
White Horse Academy (because it's close to White Horse, General's Washington's horse!)
    Free Range Learners
The Lesser Road Academy (from Robert Frost's poem)
Liberty Academy (because we all live in the Cradle of Liberty)

I thought about a play on us meeting on Wednesdays like Wednesdays Children but according to the poem, Wednesday child is full of woe.....so....not so much. I'm not Catholic but I also Our Lady of Perpetual Eye Twitch. ;-)

    1. Ooooh, I like the Robert Frost idea. I don't know about the word lesser though. It might give a bit of a negative connotation. Could we be Road Less Travelled Academy, RLTA for short?

I also like the word alliance. Hamilton Alliance, or HA for short!

  2. Wrong thread. Grrrr! Sorry!

As to the music supplies....I have lots of tempura paints but not enough of the orange. I also have paint brushes for borrow.

I'm not sure how you envision the chair but I have a folding chair that can be borrowed and have stuff taped to it. Does that work?

    1. Okay, great! We'll see if others have orange. I'm not sure about the chair either. I think I'd like a bigger chair and then we could just put a back on it. But I guess we could always put the folding chair on a pedestal of some sort and drape something over it....I'll think on it.
